No fewer than 20 judges in the Osun State Judiciary are presently on self-isolation to ascertain their medical status over coronavirus.
New Telegraph learnt that the judges recently returned from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and are now in isolation following suspicion that they might have contacted the disease.
The judges attended International Conference in Dubai between March 9 and March 20, before returning home over the weekend.
Speaking on the matter, Commissioner for Health in Osun State, Dr. Rafiu Isamotu, confirmed the story and explained that “the judges went into isolation immediately they arrived the state to ascertain their medical status as the killer disease ravages the world.”
According to the commissioner, “Yes, they are presently in self-isolation. I can’t disclose any hospital; it is not necessary that they go to the hospital before being isolated.
“There are many people who are even positive of the virus, but stay in their homes to isolate themselves without going to the hospital. The judges are in self-isolation and we are monitoring them.”
